Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era hardware capabilities
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing systems with 1000+ qubit stability
- Direct cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum
- Collaborate with global labs on quantum internet infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of quantum computing research with published breakthroughs
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Proven track record of leading $10M+ research initiatives
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, etc.)
- Strong patents portfolio in quantum information science
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Clearance for DOE/NASA collaborative projects preferred
