Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum solutions for Fortune 500 partners
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Quantum)
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with <5 years postdoc experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial prototypes
- Strong track record of securing federal research funding
- Expertise in machine learning optimization for quantum systems
