Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing applications in 2026+ timeframe
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
