Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to benchmark quantum system performance
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Translate theoretical quantum models into production-ready solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity classes
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Proven ability to secure research funding through grants or industry partnerships
