Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of large-scale machine learning infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability for our 2026 roadmap.
- Model Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize existing models for inference speed and reduce computational costs using techniques like quantization and pruning.
- Research Translation: Translate novel AI research papers into practical, production-ready code and architectural patterns.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, conducting code reviews and architectural reviews to foster a culture of excellence.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with product leaders to define AI capabilities and roadmaps that align with business goals.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models, from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years in Machine Learning or AI engineering.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow; strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience deploying models on AWS, GCP, or Azure using containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to solve complex technical problems and make data-driven architectural decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
