- Produce annual 'Future State' whitepapers published in industry journals
- Oversee cross-functional innovation sprints translating foresight into R&D priorities
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic futurist networks and think tanks
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and trend synthesis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology analysis
- Proven track record of publishing future-focused research (peer-reviewed journals or industry reports)
- Expertise in systems thinking and scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell's scenarios)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Experience leading cross-organizational initiatives with $50M+ impact potential
- Deep knowledge of exponential technology convergence patterns
- Exceptional presentation skills for C-level and board audiences
