Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Horizon Scan' reports analyzing emerging tech, social, and economic megatrends
- Lead strategic foresight workshops for C-suite executives across healthcare, AI, and sustainability sectors
- Architect innovation roadmaps using scenario planning and weak-signal detection methodologies
- Manage a $2M research budget directing cross-disciplinary teams of data scientists and behavioral economists
- Represent Horizon Insights at Davos, CES, and exclusive industry roundtables
- Mentor next-generation futurists through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Proven track record of publishing disruptive research in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Futures, Technological Forecasting)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and system dynamics modeling
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating 2020+ trend predictions with documented market impact
- Fluency in at least two strategic foresight software platforms (e.g., Foresight Platform, Kumu)
- Security clearance eligibility for government consulting engagements
