Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and foundation work following blueprints and safety protocols
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts) with proper certification
- Assist carpenters and masons with framing, concrete pouring, and structural assembly
- Conduct material handling, inventory management, and quality control inspections
- Adhere to OSHA standards and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verifiable construction experience in commercial/residential settings
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic construction equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence
- Ability to read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions
