Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including concrete pouring, framing, masonry, and demolition
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) for seamless workflow
- Inspect materials for quality compliance and report deficiencies
- Assist in scaffolding setup and site preparation activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification required
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow complex instructions
- Physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs and working in extreme weather
- New York City construction license (Local Law 196) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
