Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, material handling, equipment operation (e.g., jackhammers, saws), and site preparation
- Follow blueprints and supervisor instructions to execute construction tasks accurately
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with specialized tasks
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites according to OSHA standards
- Operate hand/power tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard mitigation
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain project documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools (saws, drills, levels)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic blueprint reading skills preferred
