Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) and power tools with precision
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to implement complex construction plans
- Maintain OSHA compliance standards and enforce site safety protocols
- Collaborate with skilled trades on multi-phase residential/commercial projects
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and structural integrity
- Manage inventory and logistics for construction materials and equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
