Responsibilities
- Execute precise construction tasks including concrete pouring, framing, and demolition
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with OSHA certification
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Maintain clean, organized job sites with strict safety compliance
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and masons on complex projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Adapt to NYC's unique urban construction challenges and regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on construction experience in commercial/residential settings
- Valid OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- New York State Laborer's Union membership or equivalent certification
- Proficiency with power tools and construction machinery
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and math calculation skills
- NYC DOB Site Safety Training (SST) card preferred
- Reliable transportation to multiple borough job sites
