Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools and equipment safely (jackhammers, saws, drills)
- Read blueprints and follow precise construction instructions
- Maintain clean, organized work sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, welders) with specialized tasks
- Conduct quality checks and report project issues to supervisors
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Collaborate with team members to meet tight project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Valid California driver's license (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and heights
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
