Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) with precision and safety protocols
- Install and remove scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material assembly
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and curing
- Maintain clean and organized job sites with proper waste management
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and NYC building safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification and NYC DOB Site Safety Training
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong understanding of construction blueprints and specifications
- NYC Construction Worker Certification (Local 79 or equivalent)
- Reliable transportation to project sites across NYC boroughs
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
