As a weekend shift specialist, you'll be integral to our project timelines while maintaining industry-leading safety standards. This full-time role offers stability with weekend-only scheduling (Saturday/Sunday), allowing you to pursue weekday interests or additional opportunities. Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including concrete pouring, framing, demolition, and material handling
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain organized job site conditions
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material prep and installation
- Read blueprints and project specifications to ensure precise execution
- Perform site cleanup and waste management according to environmental standards
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience with verifiable references
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment
- Flexibility for occasional overtime during critical project phases
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
