Responsibilities
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) for excavation and demolition
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete structures under supervisor guidance
- Install and remove scaffolding, braces, and temporary supports
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, electricians) with material prep
- Maintain clean, organized job sites to prevent hazards
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record (for equipment operation)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for daily start times (6:00 AM)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Experience with construction tools preferred but not required
