Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and demolition
- Operate hand/power tools safely (jackhammers, saws, drills) under supervisor guidance
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and concrete work
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance and site cleanliness standards
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions for task execution
- Load/unload equipment and materials at job sites efficiently
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC metro area
- OSHA 10-hour certification (training provided if needed)
