Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Assist skilled tradesmen with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read blueprints and interpret project specifications to ensure accuracy
- Transport materials via forklift or manual handling as needed
- Complete daily progress reports and collaborate with project managers
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance mandatory
- Strong work ethic with commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- 1+ years construction experience preferred but not required
