Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with daily construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools and light equipment under supervision (hammers, shovels, saws)
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated work areas
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing debris and following safety protocols
- Follow verbal and written instructions from site supervisors and project managers
- Support various construction phases including framing, concrete work, and finishing
- Participate in daily team briefings and safety meetings
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we train all new hires
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material counting and measurements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
