Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and site preparation
- Operate basic machinery like forklifts, jackhammers, and power tools under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks and material handling
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Adhere to environmental regulations and waste management procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and overtime
