Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial and industrial settings.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan layouts.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in Illinois or Ohio (must be willing to work in both regions).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven field experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Strong proficiency with electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
