Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential/commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices when assigned
- Maintain clean, safe work sites and adhere to OSHA standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a licensed electrician (VA Journeyman certification required)
- Valid Virginia electrician license in good standing
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and construction plans
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and local building codes
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work
