Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in commercial/residential settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure precise execution
- Adhere strictly to NEC and local electrical codes while maintaining safety compliance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams on large-scale installations
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize system performance
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master) with current certification
- Minimum 4 years of verifiable commercial/residential electrical experience
- Expertise in conduit bending, circuit design, and power distribution systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools: multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit tracers
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety credentials
- Strong mathematical aptitude for load calculations and voltage drop analysis
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (heights, confined spaces)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
