Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices on complex projects
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project managers
- Maintain detailed work records and safety documentation
- Respond to emergency calls and after-hours service requests
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Electrician License (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, wiring, and power distribution
- Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain immediately
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
