Responsibilities
- Execute physical labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards on active construction sites
- Assist skilled tradespersons with layout, framing, and finishing operations
- Operate power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and heavy machinery under supervision
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and waste management
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Document daily progress and material usage via digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent military/civil service background
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam)
- Strong verbal communication skills for team coordination
