Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and emergency backup systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and HVAC electrical components
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for large-scale projects
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Massachusetts state electrical codes
- Lead emergency response teams for critical power outages and system failures
- Mentor junior electricians and maintain detailed maintenance documentation
- Collaborate with building management to optimize energy efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with 3-phase systems, VFDs, and PLC troubleshooting
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility environments
- Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical failures
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
