Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using diagnostic tools
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and local safety regulations
- Coordinate with team leads for project timelines and resource allocation
- Document maintenance activities and prepare detailed reports
- Mentor junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license (or reciprocity for PA)
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Proficiency in conduit bending, motor control, and power distribution
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLC/VFD systems
- Flexibility to travel between Chicago and PA sites
- Valid driver's license with clean record
