Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators) with precision and safety compliance
- Assist carpenters and masons with material assembly and installation
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow construction plans with meticulous attention to detail
- Perform demolition work using specialized tools and techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices
- Ability to pass mandatory background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as required
