Responsibilities
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) efficiently
- Assist in erecting structures, scaffolding, and temporary installations
- Maintain clean, organized work areas following OSHA standards
- Read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions precisely
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and site preparation tasks
- Collaborate with tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience required
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality are non-negotiable
- Basic math skills for material measurement
- Must be available for 6-12 month assignments
