Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding as directed by foremen.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic heavy machinery and power tools under supervision.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets quality specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing on feet for extended hours.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred; possession of a clean driving record is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and communicate effectively with team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level positions.
