Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, trenching, and site preparation tasks under supervisor guidance
- Operate hand/power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) safely and efficiently
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using proper techniques
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Maintain clean, organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Support skilled trades with material handling and equipment operation
- Document daily progress and report safety hazards immediately
- Participate in pre-task briefings and safety toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor experience preferred (training available)
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license with clean record (commercial a plus)
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Pass mandatory background check and drug screening
