Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and organize construction materials on-site to ensure efficient workflow.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by digging, leveling, clearing debris, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Tool Operation: Handle, clean, and store basic construction tools and equipment under the supervision of crew leads.
- Support Trades: Provide hands-on assistance to carpenters, electricians, and concrete workers as needed.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing waste and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Physical Labor: Perform heavy lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Relay instructions from supervisors to the crew and report any safety hazards or material shortages immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training is provided.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime during peak seasons.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions precisely to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Tools: No specialized tools required, but a willingness to learn and operate hand tools is essential.
