Responsibilities
- Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and transport them to designated work areas.
- Perform general site cleanup, including debris removal, trash disposal, and sweeping.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks, including framing, drywalling, and painting.
- Operate basic construction equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and site plans when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school certification is a plus.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict schedules.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors.
