Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers, etc.)
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and concrete work
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Load/unload materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Perform daily equipment maintenance checks and report defects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for lateness
- Basic math skills for material estimation and inventory
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred
