Responsibilities
- Excavate, dig trenches, and prepare construction sites using hand tools and machinery
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with site preparation tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and jackhammers (training provided)
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Perform physical labor in all weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends as project demands
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- 1+ years construction experience preferred but not required
