Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and material transportation at construction sites
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled tradespeople with foundation, framing, and finishing tasks
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions precisely
- Work in all weather conditions while maintaining productivity standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or physical labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours daily
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to worksites within Chicago metro area
- Basic math skills for material measurement and task coordination
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
