Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Perform manual labor tasks including digging, trenching, and leveling the ground according to blueprints.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various on-site duties and assembly.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Skills: Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
