Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites through debris removal, material staging, and safety setup
- Assist skilled tradespeople with concrete pouring, framing, and structural assembly
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery under supervisor guidance
- Load/unload materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Document daily progress and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and overtime
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
