Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing equipment
- Load/unload materials and operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled trades with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow precise instructions from site supervisors
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and operate light machinery as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid O-10 construction card or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays (6 AM - 4 PM) in all weather conditions
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to downtown Detroit sites
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
