Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Assist skilled tradespeople with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Load/unift construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Perform site cleanup and waste management according to EPA standards
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain daily inspection logs
- Collaborate with crew leads to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor or related field experience
- Valid O-10 Construction Worker certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction blueprints and measurements
- Relliable transportation to job sites within Detroit metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
