Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project preparation and cleanup
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and construction plans
- Operate light machinery (saws, drills, compactors) with proper training
- Transport materials to designated areas using carts, dollies, or wheelbarrows
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and tools
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for weekend shifts
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
