Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervisor guidance
- Assist carpenters and masons with material staging and site cleanup
- Maintain OSHA compliance standards for all work activities
- Load/un construction materials safely using proper lifting techniques
- Inspect work areas for hazards and report safety concerns
- Complete daily progress reports and equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction site experience or trade school certification
- Valid O-10 construction card or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Portland metro area
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork ethic
- Willingness to work Saturdays 6AM-4PM with occasional Sundays
