Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas in accordance with blueprints and safety regulations.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Machinery Operation: Operate power tools, including saws, drills, and compressors, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching tools and materials as needed.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all debris is removed and safety hazards are minimized.
- Documentation: Report any safety issues or material shortages to the Site Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on concrete for long hours.
- Safety Conscious: Must have a valid OSHA 10-hour card or willingness to obtain one; strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
- Reliability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a regular basis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Experience: Prior experience in general construction labor is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from the job site.
