Responsibilities
- Execute weekend construction tasks including material handling, site prep, and demolition
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with technical tasks
- Maintain clean, organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Read blueprints and interpret project specifications
- Perform quality checks and report defects to supervisors
- Participate in safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexible availability for Saturday/Sunday shifts
- Interest in skilled trade apprenticeships (Texas pathways available)
