Responsibilities
- Installation & Repair: Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
- Blueprints: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
- Site Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Wiring: Execute wiring, cabling, and fixture connections for lighting and power distribution.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in the State of Illinois required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical theory and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a regular basis.
- Physical: Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Reliable personal set of hand tools and electrical testing meters.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
