Responsibilities
- Perform new construction and retrofit electrical installations, including wiring, circuitry, and lighting.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Respond to emergency repair calls during weekend shifts as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays on a regular schedule.
- Proven track record of safety compliance and accident prevention.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
