Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE (hard hats, steel-toe boots)
- Perform debris cleanup and waste management according to OSHA standards
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as assigned
- Complete daily timecards and report equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic understanding of construction site safety rules
- Ability to read simple measurements and follow verbal instructions
- Must be punctual and dependable with consistent attendance
- Experience with power tools preferred but not required
