Core Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Operate and calibrate high-precision 2.6D scanning hardware to capture accurate surface data of complex components.Process and reconstruct raw point cloud data into high-fidelity 3D models using industry-standard software.Perform dimensional analysis and quality control checks to ensure compliance with tight engineering tolerances.Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to translate 2.6D scan data into actionable engineering insights.Maintain and troubleshoot scanning equipment to minimize downtime.Prepare detailed reports and documentation of scanning results and dimensional deviations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 3D scanning, specifically utilizing 2.6D scanning technologies.Proficiency in processing software such as Geomagic Control X, PolyWorks, or Cyclone.Strong understanding of surface metrology, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and GD&T standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
