Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive 2026 technology strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR, AI) and their commercial applications
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into development roadmaps
- Build and manage strategic alliances with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Oversee cross-functional R&D projects with $5M+ annual budgets
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons, patents, and thought leadership
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech innovation
- Proven track record in developing and executing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, or neurotechnology
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M annually
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (whitepapers, patents, or industry keynotes)
