Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 2026+ strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for emerging market disruptions (e.g., quantum computing applications, neurotech integration)
- Produce quarterly Future Impact Assessments quantifying technological, economic, and societal implications of emerging innovations
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and emerging tech startups for early access to breakthroughs
- Design and execute immersive future-state simulations for leadership decision-making
- Champion ethical innovation governance frameworks for high-impact technologies
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts to build internal foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent with 8+ years in strategic foresight or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing long-term strategic frameworks for Fortune 500 companies or scale-ups
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI governance, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership on future trends (white papers, industry journals, TED talks)
- Advanced proficiency in foresight methodologies: Delphi technique, causal layered analysis, or backcasting
- Experience with scenario planning tools like SAP Signavio or Palisade @Risk
- Portfolio demonstrating successful translation of future insights into market-ready innovations
